Luxury carmaker Porsche (China) is recalling 218 vehicles in the Chinese mainland, the country's consumer quality watchdog said Friday.
The vehicles, including Cayenne, Cayenne S Hybrid, Cayenne GTS, are being recalled because of a software design defect in the vehicles' instrument panel system, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
The defect means the driver will not have an accurate reading of how much fuel has been used, the administration said.
The company will recode instrument panels free of charge beginning Friday, it added.
