Chinese shares extended losses Wednesday as sentiment remained cautious ahead of the key policy meeting next month.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 1.25 percent, or 27.55 points, to finish at 2,183.11, while the Shenzhen Component Index lost 1.24 percent, or 106.68 points, to finish at 8,512.96.
