Couriers benefit from online spree

The top four private express delivery companies in China received a record-breaking 10 million-plus orders during the Double 11 online buying spree on Monday, Beijing News reported.

Shentong Express, YT Express, ZTO Express, and Yunda Express, all had record orders, Li Huide, head of the China Express Association, said.

Sales on tmall.com, taobao.com and other e-commerce platforms surged on Monday, boosting orders for express companies.

YT Express, for instance, saw orders reach 12.5 million, increasing more than 70 percent than the same time last year.
