Chinese shares ended a four-day decline to close higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.82 percent, or 18.00 points, to finish at 2,201.07.
The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.98 percent, or 82.11 points, to close at 8,447.46.
