The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Thursday that it sold 3 billion yuan (492 million U.S. dollars) worth of treasury bonds to Hong Kong residents from Nov. 22 to Dec. 5.
The ministry said it has issued a total of 23 billion yuan worth of yuan-denominated treasury bonds in Hong Kong so far this year, and has completed the bond issue plan for 2013 as scheduled.
The offering includes a first round worth 13 billion yuan on June 26 to institutional investors, foreign central banks and monetary authorities, a second round totaling 7 billion yuan on Nov. 21 to institutional investors, and the recently completed issuance.
