The supply of land for residential use in China's megacities will be increased, according to a statement issued Friday after a four-day central economic work conference.
China will push forward with public housing schemes such as low-rent and public rental homes as well as shantytown renovation, the statement said.
It also called for efforts to boost employment for college graduates and workers laid off from industries plagued with overcapacity.
Coordinated efforts must be made among regions to cope with environmental issues like air pollution, while work in income distribution, food safety, medical care and work safety should be improved.
