The total film box-office revenue in China for 2013 reached 21.77 billion yuan ($3.60 billion), up 27.51 percent from the previous year, Zhang Hongsen, head of the film bureau under the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, said on Friday.
According to Zhang, domestically produced films accounted for 58.65 percent of the market with an income of 12.77 billion yuan, up 54.32 percent from the previous year.
