The State Council has approved a plan to set up six rare-earth groups by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Shanghai Securities News reported on Saturday.
According to the report, of the six groups, one will be formed by Inner Mongolia Baotou Steel Rare-Earth(Group) Hi-Tech Co, two by State-owned enterprises China Minmetals Corporation and Aluminum Corporation of China, and three by regional enterprises in Jiangxi, Guangdong and Fujian provinces.
