The number of applications submitted for trademark registration reached 13.24 million by the end of 2013 in China, ranking No.1 in the world, data from the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) showed on Monday.
China is also at the top of the world's rankings in terms of registered trademarks, which totaled 8.65 million by the end of last year, and valid trademark registration, which totaled 7.24 million, according to the administration.
In 2013 alone, applications for trademark registration in China maintained a fast growth by rising 14.15 percent year-on-year, the SAIC said.
