Hutchison Whampoa dismissed a British media report, which claimed that the conglomerate's health and beauty retail arm A.S. Watson & Co Ltd will relocate its headquarters to the UK to facilitate a possible listing in London, as being "inaccurate."
A company spokesman clarified with netease.com Thursday that it is still reviewing the strategy options with no set timeframe nor redomiciling scheme.
The spokesman also said that the Sky News reports with claims such as that the company is mulling naming the UK's former trade minister its new chairman are incorrect.
Hutchison Whampoa Ltd plans to split and float its Watson business in potentially the world's biggest-ever retail IPO.
But the company is still weighing between London and Singapore for the location of its IPO.
