Foreign trade of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) rose 2.4 percent month-on-month in January, Xinhua News Agency reported Wednesday.
Exports of the Shanghai FTZ hit 15.05 billion yuan ($2.48 billion) in January, up 5.2 percent from December while imports reached 44.51 billion yuan, up 1.5 percent from the previous month, the report said.
The Shanghai Municipal Government is working on a "negative list" for foreign investment in its free trade zone for 2014 and expected to finish it by the first half of the year, Gu Jun, vice head of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, said Wednesday, according to China News Service.
