FTZ to include Baiyun airport

Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport's comprehensive development zone is likely to be included in the proposed free trade zone (FTZ) incorporating South China's Guangdong Province and neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, China Securities Journal reported Thursday.

Baiyun airport's comprehensive development zone will be a new addition to the three previously planned areas of Guangzhou's Nansha, Shenzhen's Qianhai and Zhuhai's Hengqin that are intended to boost economic development in the region with their proximity to Hong Kong and Macao.
