The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the nation's aviation regulatory, has granted an airworthiness certificate to domestically produced aviation biofuel, which means the fuel is approved for commercial use, the People's Daily reported Thursday.
Developed by China Petrochemical Corporation or Sinopec, the fuel is refined from vegetable oils, used cooking oil, and animal fat, according to the report.
