The annual grain throughput of Jinzhou Port in Liaoning province reached 13 million metric tons in 2013, and its annual coal throughput was nearly 20 million tons, both topping the rankings for ports in China.
During the past year, the port's accumulative throughput totaled 85.193 million tons, up 15.8 percent year-on-year. Its annual container throughput was 952,000 standard containers, an increase of 9.6 percent year-on-year. Both were record highs.
The port has 16 berths and is designed for an annual cargo throughput of 35 million tons.
