Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co. will recall 235 imported ASX vehicles in China due to a potential safety hazard in the keyless operation system, the country's consumer quality watchdog said on Wednesday.
The vehicles being recalled were produced between Dec. 20, 2011 and Oct. 9, 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
Flaws in the keyless operation system, under low temperatures, may lead to engine failure, according to the statement.
The company will start the recall on Thursday, and fix the problem for free, the company said.
