China's sovereign wealth fund China Investment Corp (CIC) had an investment return of more than 8 percent from its overseas assets in 2013, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday citing a CIC executive.
"Though there was great volatility in the financial market last year, we adjusted our strategy in time and achieved a quite good result," Liang Xiang, executive vice president of CIC, was quoted as saying.
The return rate this year seems to be modest as it compares with 2012 when it posted a 10.65 percent overseas return.
