WeChat and Alipay payment accepted

Chinese location-based food and entertainment service provider dianping.com announced that users can make reservations and payments on the website through online payment tools including Wechat and Alipay, Reuters reported Wednesday.

Dianping.com said it is the first website in China that can allow people to make reservations through Wechat payment service and the service covers about 100 restaurants in Shanghai now and will expand to other cities later, according to the report.

Song Shaokui, a senior analyst at PE consulting firm China Venture Group, said online reservation and payment services will help dianping.com retain its leading position in the local service-oriented online to offline sector, the report said.
