Honda sees sales drop in March

Honda Motor Co Ltd and its two local joint ventures sold 59,915 cars in China in March, down 2 percent from a year earlier, the Japanese automaker said on Wednesday.

In comparison, Nissan Motor Co Ltd and its local joint venture sold about 115,900 automobiles in China in March, up 26 percent from the same time last year, the company said on Wednesday.

Sales of Japanese cars have been slowly recovering after taking a heavy beating from a surge in anti-Japan sentiment following a territorial dispute between China and Japan in late 2012.
