The German car producer Audi AG reported its best month and first quarter in the history on the world market, Audi said Monday in a statement.
Audi delivered worldwide in March around 170,450 automobiles, a 15.4 percent year-on-year increase, which is more than ever before in a single month, according to the statement.
In addition, a total of 412,850 Audi automobiles were sold in the first quarter, up 11.7 percent compared with the same period last year. It is the first time that the company's sales have exceeded the mark of 400,000 vehicles in the first three months.
The Ingolstadt-based company announced last week its best first quarter sales on the Chinese market, with 124,520 cars, up 21.1 percent compared with the same period last year.
