For perspective, let's look at a few figures on China's vastly expanding express delivery market. The industry has been undergoing rapid growth with the explosive market of e-commerce.
From January to September of 2013, the express courier system combined has generated sales revenue of 99.57 million RMB. That's a 34.9 percent jump year-on-year. Noticeably, private express companies continued to take more of a market share. They account for 77.2 percent of the whole industry, and their revenue is 65.8 percent of the whole industry.
Express delivery companies have also started to take advantage of the aviation system. As of November 2013, SF Airlines owns a fleet of 13 cargo aircraft, and YTO Express has four cargo aircraft. The market has also become a hot destination for venture capital, and many delivery companies are planning an IPO.
