UnionPay International (UPI), the global arm of China UnionPay, on Monday announced an ATM partnership deal with Australia's Cuscal, a further step to promote the use of UnionPay cards in Australia.
UnionPay cards will be accepted by 2,500 local ATMs marked with rediATM and jointly operated by Australia's Cuscal and National Australia Bank, UPI said on its website.
Through the deal between UPI and Cuscal, UnionPay cards will be accepted by over two thirds of terminals on the local rediATM network, providing convenience to UnionPay cardholders in Australia, the company said.
UPI, a subsidiary of bankcard association China UnionPay, is focused on growth of UnionPay's global business, and has enabled card acceptance in more than 140 countries. Cuscal is Australia's leading provider of transactional banking and capital management products.
