Record turnover at China's cultural fair

Turnover of the International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) that ended in Shenzhen on Monday hit 232 billion yuan ($37.7 billion), up 40 percent on the previous year.

The exports reached 16.1 billion yuan, 7 percent of the total, up 30 percent year on year.

Some 5.08 million people visited the fair, including 162,000 foreign professionals. Nearly 17,700 buyers from 95 countries and regions attended the fair, the largest cultural expo in the country.
