The Ministry of Finance issued 16 billion yuan (2.62 billion U.S. dollars) in yuan-denominated treasury bonds in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
The issuance includes 14 billion yuan in T-bonds placed to institutional investors and 2 billion yuan in T-bonds sold to seven foreign central banks and regional monetary authorities.
The ministry floated a total of 23 billion yuan in yuan-denominated T-bonds in three batches in Hong Kong in 2013.
The ministry has planned to issue a total of 28 billion yuan in T-bonds in two batches in 2014.
