Poland is not afraid of Chinese capital, head of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) Slawomir Majman told a Chinese business delegation in Warsaw on Monday.

"Unlike some of our European neighbors, we are not afraid of Chinese capital." Majman said, adding that "We want more participation of Chinese businesses and producers."

Majman made the remarks on the occasion when the PAIiIZ received representatives of one of China's biggest business associations -- the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).

"We want Chinese firms in Poland, we want them to build infrastructure ... but primarily we want them to invest in production in Poland," Majman stressed. "We want Chinese industry to take part in Poland's re-industrialization."

CCCME Vice President Shi Yonghong vowed to further trade cooperation with Central Europe. "We wish to focus on cooperation in infrastructure and land and maritime transport," he said.

Shi stressed Poland's role as China's biggest trade partner in Central and Eastern Europe, saying Chinese companies are willing to increase investment in Poland.
