Royal Dutch Shell Plc and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum (Group) Corp. Ltd have launched a retail joint venture in Guangdong province, in a bid to increase Anglo-Dutch oil company Shell's retail footprint in Guangdong and deepen their existing partnership, Shell said on Tuesday.
Shell is currently operating about 1,100 gas stations through joint ventures in China, including some 30 gas stations in Guangdong.
And Shell and YCPC already jointly operate more than 400 retail sites through JVs in the provinces of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Sichuan.
