People who book a taxi and pay via Kuaidadi, or Kuaidi Taxi, app between June 11 and June 17 will get a voucher valued between one to 10 yuan, according to an announcement on the app's public platform on WeChat.
However, a source from Beijing Orange Technology Co Ltd, which developed DiDi Taxi, the main rival of Kuaidi Taxi, told Beijing Youth Daily on Wednesday that the company has no plans to launch similar measures.
The source said the disadvantage with this kind of deal is that the voucher is given the next day and is only valid for seven days.
A taxi driver said the app will not catch many people's interest; especially those who do not book taxi often, the Beijing Youth Daily quoted the driver as saying.
