Qihoo cooperates with Dixintong

Qihoo 360, a major Chinese anti-virus software provider, announced cooperation with leading mobile phone retailer Beijing Dixintong Electronics Communication Technology Co (Dixintong), further deepening its cooperation on wireless applications, application stores, and customized mobile phones.

"We hope the cooperation with Dixintong can offer customized wireless applications, anti-virus software and other after-sales service to attract more mobile Internet users," Qi Xiangdong, president of Qihoo 360, told a press conference.

Analysts said large Chinese IT companies used to try to gain more mobile Internet users by cooperating with mobile phone manufacturers and producing customized phones. But now they have sought to diversify, including cooperation with telecommunication companies.
