JD Mobile, the mobile virtual network operating unit of online retailer JD.com Inc, said that problems with virtual mobile numbers have not hampered its business, the company said in a statement e-mailed to the Global Times Tuesday.
Some banks and websites currently do not recognize virtual mobile numbers, which all start with 170, but these issues will be gradually resolved with the development of the mobile sector and further communication between virtual mobile operators and relevant institutions, according to the statement.
On May 17, 80,000 mobile phone numbers were bought by customers with JD Mobile as it started the pre-sale of mobile phone numbers starting with 170, and announced its standard national rates, unifying the rates for long-distance and local calls, and roaming, and which do not have a minimum usage level.
