Chinese shares closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 13.18 points, or 0.65 percent, to finish at 2,038.68 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 74.23 points, or 1.03 percent, to close at 7,291.88.
