China's imports from Russia in May hit a new 13-month high with a growth of 5.3 percent from the previous month, news portal chinanews.com reported Sunday.
In May, crude oil was the main commodity bought from Russia by China, valued at 14.57 billion yuan ($2.34 billion), up 53.2 percent year-on-year, said the report, citing data from the General Administration of Customs.
During the first five months, the Sino-Russian trade volume reached 225.97 billion yuan, up 1.8 percent year-on-year.
