Microsoft Corp stressed on Wednesday that it will continue providing free Windows 7 security updates until 2020, the company said in a statement sent to the Global Times.
Microsoft's pledge of security update support over the next 6 years is seen as part of its extended support, while the company is on course to exit its mainstream support for Windows 7, during which a full range of updates, improvements and bug fixes will be offered for free until January 2015.
