Alibaba launches new medicine app

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding launched a new service to help users take medicine correctly and detect fake ones, the company said on its official Sina Weibo account Thursday.

Users can scan bar codes and medicine supervision codes with the app developed by Alibaba, which will then show instructions and also detect if the drugs are fake, said its Weibo statement.
