The Ministry of Commerce launched an anti-dumping probe for methyl methacrylate (MMA) from Singapore, Thailand and Japan on Friday.
The probe will try to determine whether imports from the countries have damaged domestic producers' interests and to what extent their interests have been affected, a statement on the ministry's website said.
The investigation will end on Aug. 8, 2015, but may extend to Feb. 8, 2016 under special circumstances, the statement said.
MMA is a colorless liquid widely used in producing glass and plastics.
