The Chinese subsidiary of US computer giant Hewlett-Packard will recall more than a million laptop power cords sold on the Chinese mainland over flaws that may lead to fires, the country's quality watchdog said on Wednesday.
The laptops were sold between September 2010 and June 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in an online statement.
The recall started on Wednesday and the company will replace the cords free of charge, the statement said.
