The fourth China-Eurasia Expo, a six-day international trade fair, opened in the northwestern Chinese city of Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Monday.
Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, along with several foreign leaders, attended the opening ceremony of the expo.
This year's expo theme is "Opening up and Cooperation for Building Silk Road Economic Belt," and is scheduled to run from Sept 1 to 6.
Originally the China Urumqi Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Fair, which was hosted in the northwestern city for 19 years, it was upgraded to an international event in September 2011.
