The Shanghai Customs District provided customs clearance services for the Xbox One game consoles assembled by Microsoft Game Entertainment Equipment (Shanghai) Co Ltd in the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone on Aug 29.
The total value was as much as $2.3 million.
Prior to that, the local customs authority has done research for the clearance mode and finished the checking of the warehouse and linking the systems up. This has marked that the policy in the FTZ's framework plan to allow foreign companies produce and sell game consoles has been officially implemented eventually.
