Firm signs Croatia deal

Chinese company CNBM International Engineering Co signed a contract with the Croatian Ploce Port on Friday, after the Chinese company was selected as the best bidder for equipping a new bulk cargo terminal in the Adriatic port of Ploce.

The 100 million euros ($128 million) bulk cargo terminal project is the first significant investment by a Chinese company in Croatia.

According to the contract, delivery and installation of the reloading equipment should not take longer than 24 months, but President of the Board of Ploce Port Ivan Pavkovic said it might be done in 18 months.
