Honda will begin the recall of 741 imported Acura MDX and RLX models over seatbelt flaws, said China's top quality watchdog.
Parts of the front seatbelts have flaws and may stop functioning in extreme cold weather, said a Saturday statement issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The recall will start on Oct. 30 in the Chinese mainland. The affected Acura MDX vehicles were manufactured between Sept. 4, 2013 and May 13, 2014, and Acura RLX cars were manufactured between March 18, 2013 and April 3, 2014, according to the statement.
The company will replace these vehicles' seatbelts for customers free of charge.
