Vietnam's export turnover to China is expected to reach the set target of 15 billion U.S. dollars in 2014, assessed the Vietnam Industry and Trade Information Center ( VITIC) under Ministry of Industry and Trade on Tuesday.
The center said on its website that in the first eight months of 2014, Vietnam's exports to China posted an increase of 16.43 percent year-on-year to hit 9.83 billion U.S. dollars.
VITIC forecast that in the remaining four months of the year, export turnover to China would maintain at 1.25 to 1.3 billion U.S. dollars per month, making the 15 billion-U.S. dollar target feasible.
In the eight-month period, products of agro-fishery-forestry accounted for some 30 percent of export turnover to China, while mineral products made up around 20 percent, said VITIC.
