Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., a Sino-Japanese joint venture, will recall 93,700 Crown cars starting on Nov. 15, China's top quality watchdog said on Wednesday.
The cars were produced between Dec. 1, 2009 and June 14, 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
The recall is due to possible reduced braking ability because of brake fluid leaks as a result of cracking of the grease seal following long-term use, the statement said.
The joint venture company will replace grease seals for the brake master cylinder free of charge, the statement said.
