Shanghai General Motors (GM) announced that it will become the first automaker in China to offer embedded 4G LTE services in its vehicles in 2015, according to the company's press release posted on its website Thursday.
The first Shanghai GM model to be equipped with system by OnStar, a wholly owned subsidiary of GM and a wireless service provider, will be a Cadillac.
Shanghai GM said it will reveal its 4G LTE carrier partner in the months to come.
Vehicle owners will gain access to high-speed data via the OnStar 4G LTE service.
