China's overseas investment to hit $1.25 trln in next decade

China's investment abroad in the next 10 years is expected to reach 1.25 trillion U.S. dollars, President Xi Jinping said on Sunday.

He made the remarks while addressing the CEO Summit of the ongoing Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings.[Special coverage]

In the next five years, China's import of goods is projected to exceed 10 trillion U.S. dollars while the number of outbound Chinese tourists will surpass 500 million, Xi added.
