China shares close sharply higher on Friday

Chinese shares closed sharply higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2 percent to finish at 2,682.84 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 9,002.23 points, up 1.6 percent.
