Chinese stocks opened higher on Friday morning, extending gains from Thursday's world-beating rally that sent the benchmark index to its highest level since May 3, 2011.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.94 percent, or 27.12 points to open at 2,926.57 points. The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 10,164.37 points, up 1.34 percent, or 134.54 points.
