Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the super-luxury division of BMW, delivered a record 4063 cars globally in 2014, marking the fifth consecutive record year in its 111-year history, said Rolls-Royce in a press release on Tuesday.

North America tops regional figures, with an annual increase of 30 percent, ahead of the Middle East (up 20 percent), Europe (40 percent) and China, said Rolls-Royce.

The United States remained the company's most significant individual market, and Roll-Royce's home market, Britain, is its fourth largest individual market with an annual growth of 13 percent, it noted.

Torsten Muller-Otvos, Chief Executive Officer at Rolls-Royce Motor, said that: "Sales were driven by strong orders for Ghost Series II, launched in November, and Wraith, which enjoyed its first full year of sales, while the incomparable Phantom remains the company's pinnacle product."

Vince Cable, Business Secretary of British government, commented in a statement: "The UK's automotive industry is thriving with a new car rolling off the production line every 20 seconds, and increasing levels of investment that's helping to secure local jobs."

The West Sussex, England-based Company has created over 200 new permanent jobs over the 18 months. More than 1500 people are now employed at its headquarters.
