China aims to build a modernized logistics system for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) by 2020, in a bid to ensure TCM quality, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.
The MOC said that the government will provide financing support for TCM production and storage bases, and it also noted that industry standards for TCM storage and transportation would be established.
China's logistics system handles around 17 million tons of TCM each year, according to the statement.
