Chery Automobile-controlled Karry Auto is set to launch its latest seven-seat multi-purpose vehicle K50 that is powered by 1.5-liter Chery ACTECO engine on Tuesday in Hefei, capital city of Anhui province.
The four-cylinder natural aspiration gasoline engine is in line with the Euro IV emission standard, and outputs 80 kilo watts maximum power and 140 Nm peak torque. SQR477F was recognized as one of the top 10 engines by AutoSports magazine in 2008.
The powertrain, transmitted by either an automatic or a five-speed manual transmission, consumes 6.9 liters fuel per 100 kilometers.
Every K50 runs on 205/60 R 15-inch tires, and equips 4-direction adjustable front seats, multi-function rear view mirror. The top version features 7-inch infotainment and navigation system, button start, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, electric controlled windows, follow-me-home headlight.
Designed into sport-utility-vehicle style, the K50 has a ground clearance of 170 mm, with an approaching angle of 20 degrees, and departure angle of 23 degrees. The new MPV is 4,450 millimeter long, 1,750 mm wide and 1,790 mm in height, and has a maximum capacity of 2,900 liters.
The suggested retail prices starts from 50,000 yuan ($8,180) for the basic version, and the premium version is at 65,000 yuan.
