China should press the "fast forward button" for deepening reforms as the country is entering a phase of "new normal" in economic growth, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said Monday.
The country should make good use of the functions of the government and market, speed up the upgrading of traditional sectors, allow the emerging production forces to grow faster and achieve a balance between stabilizing the economic growth and restructuring under the new normal economy, Li said in a meeting with experts, scholars and business leaders.
Maintaining the moderate-to-high speed of economic growth must be the main theme of the country's economic development, Li said.
