French Prime Minister visits airbus plant

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls took a tour of Airbus Tianjin's final assembly line for the Airbus A320 on Thursday morning after he arrived in China during his first visit since he took office in 2014.

"The bilateral cooperation between France and China is always based on a friendly communication among their citizens," said Manuel, adding the technologies and treasured experiences that French specialists brought in China have made the bilateral relations more active and promising.

The Prime Minister also commented that the cooperation between the two nations could expand in to new areas such as finance, urbanization, healthcare and agriculture.

During his visit to the assembly plant, Valls also attended the graduation ceremony of the Sino-European Institute of Aviation (and) Engineering.

Valls will continue his three-day trip with a visit to both Beijing and Shanghai, seeking Beijing's support in climate talks and to talk about opportunities to boost commercial ties.
