A variety of Italian artisan products will enter the Chinese market thanks to an agreement signed in Milan earlier this week between an Italian service provider and a Chinese high-tech company.
Milan-based Ge.Fi. Gestione Fiere S.p.A. signed a strategic agreement with Beijing-based IZP Technologies Group, paving the way for the sale of top quality Italian artisan products in the Chinese market, a statement from the Italian company has said.
The service provider is responsible for organizing L'Artigiano in Fiera, the largest international trade fair dedicated to craftsmanship which takes place every winter in Milan.
Following the fair's success, an e-commerce platform that facilitates the online purchase of products exhibited during the event, Artimondo, was also born.
Thanks to the new partnership, a sales channel named "Artimondo Italian Life Style in Fiera" from May 1 will offer on the Haixuan portal, managed by IZP Technologies Group, a series of fashion, food and wine, jewelry, furniture, art and leisure, health and beauty products created by Italian artisans.
"The agreement with IZP represents the first step towards the realization of a larger project designed to encourage the internationalization of micro-enterprises that participate in L'Artigiano in Fiera," Ge.Fi. Gestione Fiere S.p.A. President Antonio Intiglietta said.
Ge.Fi. Gestione Fiere S.p.A. specializes in the organization of trade fairs and business exhibitions. L'Artigiano in Fiera, launched in 1996, in its last edition hosted 3,045 exhibition booths with more than 150,000 products from 110 countries and regions.
IZP Technologies Group, founded by CEO Luo Feng, is the most important data analysis agency in China, performing market research on 85 percent of Internet users.
